Our goal is to extend the conversation about climate change and ecosystem collapse. In particular, we are engaging older adults to become Lifelong Learners and engage in climate action. We have a significant library of presentations and video recordings that detail the wide-ranging aspects of climate change. We want to continue to program and produce accessible videos and make these materials available to everyone – for free! But we need your help to do so. Please donate today!
Amplifying Climate Education for Lifelong Learners
Story
Since 2005 Canada has reduced its Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 8%. Our Pledge to the world is to reduce emissions by 2030 to 40-45%. While progress was made, major loopholes exist to allow governments, industry and other power brokers to find ways to delay action on climate change leading us to ecosystem collapse. Our purpose is to bring Lifelong Learners together into the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss by providing them with learning opportunities to move from curiosity to knowledge to action.
We have a significant video and learning meeting archive on the wide-ranging impacts of climate change and how to make change. These are made accessible to all on our website and on YouTube click here. It is important to CALL that there are no financial barriers to learning about climate change therefore we unsure access to our materials and webinars are free. However, the costs of programming, producing and hosting the material have to come from somewhere. This project will allow free access to the materials with the help of those who can afford to support this effort. It will also allow us to develop a blog on the website and a posting calendar for partner organizations’ events. We also need to develop Social Media expertise to quickly inform followers of our latest actions and events.
